Based in Brooklyn, Heather uses both her own bright, dynamic designs as well as collaborations with other artists to tell data-driven stories with a detailed eye. Her latest works, both personally driven and commissioned, include collage and deadpan humor to engage the viewer in visually compelling ways.
With 20+ years experience in media and publishing, Heather Jones has worn the hats of Art Director, DataViz Designer, Graphics Producer and almost everything in between. Using whatever tools at hand—numbers, text, illustration, photographs, motion and sound (or all of the above)— she enjoys exploring and navigating the world through graphics. At multiple New York news outlets she worked on a range of deep dive journalistic projects in politics, science, health and culture, as well as corporate videos and international exhibitions.
